My wife and I had been American Family Insurance customers in Cloquet for 20+ years.
In recent years, under Laurie Stangl, the customer service has declined steadily. To the point where I have been told multiple times that “I’ll check on that and get back to you.” Guess what… NEVER a returned call. Long story short, they threatened to cancel our insurance and said our house doesn’t meet American Family’s “standards”.
Funny thing is, we switched to State Farm and we more than met their “standards” and received far better insurance and lower premiums on both vehicles and our house.
Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Laurie Stangl agency and her cohorts
