I have been a Farmers customer for 10 years on my homeowner’s policy. I have never had a claim until yesterday when I had a broken hot water pipe under my slab. I had it repaired and remediated same day.
The adjuster came out today, only to tell me that my 61,500 of coverage for water damage does not cover a slab leak. My agent, Patrick Beaman, never alerted me that this was an exclusion nor did he offer me coverage for such a thing in the whole 10 years. repair was $2197, remediation-yet to received bill and new carpet and pad and tack strip needed. Agents are supposed to know the business.
Farmers does not work for the customer…BEWARE!!!
