I was in a car accident and Direct Auto was insurance provider. The staff at Direct Auto are not helpful, they will not return your phone calls, do not provide good customer service and I did not get my car back until a month after my accident.
DO yourself a favor pa a little extra to go with a more reputable Company.
Direct Auto Insurance Agents have been discourteous and a complete pain to work with.
I’ve filed a 3rd party claim after their insured destroyed my vehicle. Now that the claim has been processed (2 months later) they are deducting the cost of repair for pre-existing damage from the vehicles equity. Which by Illinois insurance law can be done only up to $500.00. The claims manager RICHARD DOMBROWSKI was kind to let me know that this is non-negotiable and if I don’t like it that I’m helpless.
Basically tried to bully me over the phone into accepting a terrible and illegal settlement… GET THE IL DEPT OF INSURANCE involved immediately and talk to your congressional state rep. There is a lot that can be done with this especially since they give you the rope to hang them with.
Do not sit down for guys like RICHARD DOMBROWSKI and DIRECT AUTO OF ILLINOIS!
Absolutely horrible service. I do not recommend this insurance to anybody. Totally unprofessional.
It’s been a horrible nightmare ever since I crashed my car. It’s been six months and I haven’t got my car back. I lost my job all thanks to this insurance company and the shops they work with are totally unprofessional.
I don’t think I’ll be getting my car back!
