My review is one star. This is by far one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with in my life! Specifically, Ron Montijo, who is in charge of general and auto liability at the Southern California area, has given me more grief than imaginable.
After I express my needs of using my vehicle, Ron agrees to have the appraisal and check within one week “Tops” he says. This process is still going on right now at May 8th and the accident occurred in Feb.
First of all, Ron makes excuses about another client he has and goes into lengthy detail about the case to further extend the time of my expectations for my case to be finished. First sign of severe unprofessionalism in my opinion and from that moment I should have spoken with his boss and finished my case through someone else. But I didn’t because I”m an idiot!
Ron finally gets the appraisal on my vehicle damage 3 weeks after it was inspected. I would had never known because he never called me with it or responded to my calls prior to the 22nd day. Then I get a call stating a check has come for me at an address I specifically told Ron not to send it to.
So I”m relieved anyways because I didn’t expect to receive anything in that time frame after having so many problems with him. Person on the phone opens check for me to find it’s made out to my middle name and last name. In order to cash it, I must have full name. Ron has purposefully put the incorrect name because he knew my name perfectly.
So, then naturally when I get a hold of him I am expecting an explanation. He gets loud with me telling me that he has called me several times over the weeks and I didn’t answer. Well Mr. Montijo, why isn’t your number in my call log? Why haven’t you left a message? My phone is by my hand and on 24-7 because of my job I have to keep it on and be available at any hour. NO call from Ron! No voicemail.
He pretty much crossed the line at this point with the lying factor so then I got a little more stern with me and to my surprise he says “If you want to act like a b**** I’ll make it another week” and then continues to tell me that the reason that he hasn’t been able to finish the case with me is because I move around too much. All we need for correspondence to finish the case was email or fax which I had both so he had no grounds to say that.
So after this argument, he basically agrees to fax me a document to sign before the check can be resubmitted to the correct address with the correct name. He sends it via email instead of fax to make things more difficult for me knowing I was out of state without a printer handy. After I sign the documents he says a stop pay had been put on the check and my new check was on its way to the new address. I never received a check so I called his supervisor.
Got not 1 apology from him regarding the matter and even got a little attitude because even with his client’s name and my name he couldn’t seem to find the case file. Not surprising. He blamed me for not having proper information and told me he would call me after speaking to Ron Montijo. I agreed and then had my insurance call a different adjuster named John Walsh who deemed to be helpful when talking to them and has assured the check will arrive soon. He then informs them that the old check never had a stop pay put on it. Meaning Ron let a check float around for 2 1/2 weeks after telling me it had been stopped.
Ron needs to be fired. He is a spiteful emotional a hole. If this is how frye claims consultation believes a business should be conducted they have plenty of failure in the near future. It’s cheap, unprofessional, ghetto, and crooked, however you can say it.
