Review
Absolutely horrible service. Called about a bill I received just to ask a question about it as I was switching to a different carrier for cheaper rates and was baffled by the way that Susan treated me. My new insurance carrier offered to take care of it for me and when they had called, she yelled at the new carrier and hung up on her.
My new carrier called me and asked me to call them because they would not release any info or talk to her. Upon calling them, a man answered the phone and was nice to me until I said who I was. He also stated Susan wasn’t available until I said who I was. I was put on hold and when Susan answered, she didn’t even state who she was, she just started going off on me.
She was EXTREMELY rude, yelling at me saying that because I was no longer a customer of hers that she could talk to me any way she wants and does not have to be nice to me. She told me to call NYCM (she is a broker for them) to take care of any questions I had because she was done talking to me. I asked her if she talks to all of her customers that way and she said problem customers like you, yes.
I asked why I was a problem customer seeing as this was the first time I had called? We had done everything they ever asked us to do and paid our bill with them every month. She stated because my new insurance company had been reaching out to them to try to resolve this that is what had made me a problem customer. I said I was a customer of yours as of a month ago. I may not be now but this is how you treat previous customers in good standing?
What if I wanted to be a customer of yours again. She said well you are not a customer of mine anymore nor will you ever be again so I don’t have to treat you nicely. She was very annoyed with them and taking it out on me. She was over talking me and I asked her to let me talk. After trying to resolve this issue and see why I was being treated so poorly I didn’t hear anyone on the other line. I said, hello? She then rudely said to me I thought you wanted me to be quiet?!
She then kept being so rude to me and was the worst customer service call I had ever made. I did absolutely nothing wrong to her and was treated like garbage. I would never recommend her or Hometown Insurance EVER. Save your money and go somewhere where they will treat you with respect!
