Hazel Mosby is a native of the District of Columbia.  Ms. Mosby has over 23 years of effective experience in insurance and its regulation.  Hazel began working as an insurance regulator in October 1991.  She served as an insurance examiner with the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking.  Ms. Mosby served on the Board of Directors of the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES) and served as the DC Chapter State Chair of IRES from 2006 through 2010.  Also, she prepared or assisted with the layout and design of insurance consumer guides, directories and newsletters.   

Prior to her District government service, Hazel served in the federal government; and from 1982 through 1986, she was a District Manager life insurance agent.  Ms. Mosby had over 31 years combined Federal and District government service when she retired from government service in April 2010.  She is available to help meet a consumer needs as an Independent Insurance Agent.
