What You Should Know About The Zebra

The Zebra has a BBB rating of A with a 4.4 out of 5-star rating with 115 customer reviews. Most of the reviews tell stories of great customer service and helpful agents. However, there are some complaints about receiving spam and junk mail after filling out quotes with The Zebra. The Zebra claims that they do not sell any information, but be wary of third-party sites that may.

Plenty of other reviews across multiple platforms state that customers received fast and competent help from agents in purchasing a policy. Some of them also claim that The Zebra saved them money compared to what they were paying for insurance with a previous company.

However, there are also many reviews that express frustration about the quote process and receiving spam soon after filling out forms.

The Zebra Insurance Coverage Options

The Zebra offers just about any auto insurance coverage you can think of. However, this is because The Zebra does not underwrite policies. Instead, it is partnered with over 100 reputable insurance companies, such as Farmers, Liberty Mutual, The General, and more. The Zebra simply provides quotes from these companies based on your information.

Therefore, the product offerings from The Zebra are actually the product offerings from the partner insurance companies. With so many different companies, you’re bound to find whatever kind of policy you need with the optional coverages you’d like to customize your policy with, including Zebra insurance for commercial needs.

The Zebra will categorize different types and levels of coverage into four groups—Minimum, Basic, Better, and Best. With this setup, you can see your Zebra insurance quotes based on the least to most coverage, and you can also view the details of the policy to see which types of coverage are included.

How can I contact The Zebra?

If you need to talk with a Zebra customer service representative, you can call the Zebra insurance phone number at (888) 255-4364. You can also email The Zebra at support@thezebra.com.

The Zebra headquarters is located at 1801 E 6th Street, Suite 200, Austin, TX 78702.

Should I buy Zebra auto insurance?

Using the Zebra auto insurance company to obtain quotes from multiple companies is similar to using any other auto insurance comparison website. Websites that allow you to compare quotes from many different insurance companies at one time (such as InsuranceProviders.com) make it easy to get the cheapest auto insurance possible.

While The Zebra has had some success finding affordable insurance for some of its customers, it seems to have some issues with its quote system and communicating to customers when their information is no longer protected by The Zebra’s privacy standards. If you decide to use The Zebra, you may end up having to enter your information multiple times, and you could receive spam calls and emails afterward.

Some professional reviews also provide sample quotes that seem to be higher than quotes from other sites. Therefore, you may be able to get better rates by using another comparison website or shopping with insurance companies directly.

If you’re unable to find affordable Zebra auto insurance, enter your ZIP code into our free quote comparison tool below to compare rates from companies in your area.

After you receive Zebra auto insurance quotes, you can access them again in the future. However, price updates occur constantly, so the prices could change once you initiate further contact with a company to purchase a policy.

The Zebra acts as an independent agent in most states, so this means that the company receives a commission or one-time fee from the insurance company for every policy that it sells. While using The Zebra is supposed to be free for policyholders, many reviews have cited that the rates you receive through its service seem to be higher than you would pay if you received a quote directly from an insurance company.

How does the Zebra work?

Zebra provides quotes from multiple companies at once. In order to receive quotes, you will need to provide personal information, such as your location, driving record information, vehicle information, occupation and education level, credit record, and demographics.

When you are done filling out the quote forms, you will be presented with prices from multiple companies at once. You have the option of adjusting the coverage details to see how it affects pricing. When you choose a policy, you will be sent to the insurance company’s website, which will be pre-populated with the information you entered on the Zebra website.

Keep in mind that some prices may change once you reach the company’s website.

Baitclick - show you a low rate and doubles later, not worth

Same as all the other online quotes out there. They give you a rate that's a teaser and send you to the actual insurers website and after you input the exact same information it doubled and tripled the rates that were quoted. Complete waste of time to fill out the site info, they are the same baitclick as all the insurance platforms out there.

Scam Company

Scam of a company, draws you in with low rates online then after an hour long call you're told of all the loopholes and additional fees they include to literally double your quoted price. Wish I didn't waste my time with this scam of a company. AAA has never failed me so back to them it is.
