27 Years in the Insurance Business. 13 years in Sales Management and 14 years in Agency Management. I started out in the Agency force initially and then was promoted within the Management Staff and was later promoted to District Manager in the Amarillo Market. In 2000 I dismissed my position as the District Manager to go back to personal production within the Agency System and purchased an Agency from a retiring 36 year veteran. I worked this Agency along with 3 other Staff Members until I retired September 2008. Once I honored the “non-compete” clause I decided to continue in personal production as a “True Independent Agency” and thus here we are today! Prior to the last 1 1/2 years I was what one would consider a “totally caputured” Agency meaning that the Company mandated my requirements. In my 2nd life within the Insurance Business I have decided my client base and do not sell price but value and what comes with the product that we are selling.
